Multimedia artist Pae White’s objects and installations regularly adopt a rhetoric of whimsy, iridescence, and ethereality to address the “artfulness” of the natural and of the everyday. Some of her most recent works in this tradition, these limited-edition bronze cast leaves transform the nature of White’s native California into art that is at once strong and delicate. White has exhibited nationally and internationally, and has been invited to participate at the 2009 Venice Biennale. White was part of an Art in General exhibition entitled Redrawing the Line in 2000 and kindly donated the piece in support of the organization’s exhibitions and programs.
