Little Things
This collaborative, cumulative traveling exhibition presents works in all media, none of which exceed 12” in dimension. Fostering an international dialogue among artists and curators, Little Things initially opened in April 1993 at the Fészek Gallery in Budapest, Hungary and featured 15 emerging artists from Budapest and 15 from New York. It has since traveled to the Delta-Axis Art Center in Memphis, Tennessee, the Randolph Street Gallery in Chicago, Illinois, and presently to Art in General; the show successively adds 15 artists from each city that it travels through with the final exhibition representing the work of 76 artists. The exhibition was organized by curators from each city: Holly Block and Laura Hoptman (New York), Ava Molnar (Budapest, Hungary), Mary Murphy and Hamza Walker (Chicago), and Alan Frame (Memphis). A catalogue comprised of postcards of the works was published.
