L. Alcopley: The Late Works
L. Alcopley
Curated by Una Dora Copley
One of the original Abstract Expressionists, L. Alcopley (1910-1992) created a vast body of work marked by large isolated brushstrokes on rich monochrome surfaces. Alcopley was also a noted scientist, and made breakthroughs in the sciences of hemorheology (the flow properties of blood) and biorheology (the flow properties of all biological matter). Curated by Una Dora Copley, this exhibition presents many late works that are on view for the first time. A catalogue was published on occasion of the exhibition.
