Oceans Apart
Ingrid Pollard
Curated by Kellie Jones
Curated by Kellie Jones, this exhibition features a photographic installation by Guyana-born artist Ingrid Pollard. The installation integrates photography, text, found materials and images to invoke themes of alienation and otherness. In its examination of the slave trade and Britain’s imperialist legacy, Oceans Apart is intended as a revisionist history of Columbus’ “discovery” of America.
