When Push Comes to Shove

A site-specific installation created by Bart Uchida, When Push Comes to Shove juxtaposes disparate elements from nature and an urban milieu to create islands of decaying trees and debris. With this installation Uchida hopes to convey the wastefulness and destruction of contemporary society. Uchida has noted, “The gallery space will be approached as a world onto itself.”
