Happy Meal

Created by Hawaiian-based artist Gaye Chan, this installation presents a satirical take on capitalism as an enterprise that consumes nature in the name of peace, progress, pleasure and convenience. The installation features a huge mound of colorful plastic toys that are juxtaposed with a timeline of the advances of capitalism in the Hawaiian Islands.
