March Exhibition at Art in General
Randy Hardy, Nancy Plotkin, Lanny Bergner, Jody Intermont, Bill Enck
The March exhibition at Art in General features wall reliefs and sculptures by five artists that are united by a shared sense of reticence and a subtle handling of form. Lanny Bergner creates wire and steel sculptures that are reminiscent of microscopic creatures; Nancy Plotkin’s wall sculptures suggest a narrative in fractured form; the sculptures of Bill Enck incorporate bird-like creatures, eggplants and lamps in rich, jewel-like colors; Randy Hardy’s sculptures are based on anatomy and made out of plaster, which is later cast in bronze; Jody Intermont carves stone statues of rockets that collide with models of classical architecture.
