128exps03_p1_lg_144_144In collaboration with Apexart, Art in General presents To Be Political It Has To Look Nice, an exhibition curated by Pablo León de la Barra that challenges the stereotypes of what is normally perceive to be Latin American art. Included in the exhibition are artists both from Latin America and those that are living abroad. The works investigate the intersection between the political and the esthetic, the cheap and the informal, the serious and the ironic. The gallery space is presented in such a way as to evoke a tropical-anarchist social club.
