112exg600_4_lg%20copy_144_144Presenting fresh perspectives on drawing, the artists in Re-Drawing the Line reinterpret the traditional hand-drawn genre in progressive ways. As curator Monica Amor notes in the catalogue, “Outside the grid, on the margins of the representable, in the in-betweenness of space, line becomes a playground of alternatives. No longer identifiable with the subject’s inner thoughts, nor the object’s external appearances, it expands all over, as the unstable expediency that inhabits the fractured spaces of our everyday sites.” A panel was held in conjunction with the exhibition and included speakers Diana Cooper, Peter Wegner, and Beth Finch; a catalogue with essays by curator Monica Amor, and architectural historian Noah Chasin, was also published.
