Yaddo, the legendary Saratoga Springs artist’s residency, commemorated its centenary anniversary with a series of lectures, readings, public events and an exhibition at Art in General. Organized by Barbara Toll, the exhibition juxtaposes wall texts by writers with visual works by artists with whom they formed relationships during their communal time spent Yaddo. This exhibition exemplifies the spirit of interdisciplinary exchange that Yadoo promotes. Twenty-six artists and twenty-five writers are included in the exhibition, which includes painting, sculpture, video, installation, and film, in addition to the writers’ text.
