Crossing Lines

The ten artists included in this show place an emphasis on renewing abstraction through use of the line. Despite exploring themes as diverse as obsession, memory, race, culture and psychology, the works in this show are united through a profound exploration of the possibilities of line. Curated by Denyse Thomasos and Madeline Weinrub, the exhibition includes paintings, works on paper, and two site-specific installations. A catalogue with essays by critic/curator Lilly Wei, as well as the curators, was published on occasion of the exhibition.
