Art in General’s Commissioners’ Circle and Insiders Membership Programs

Becoming a member of Art in General means becoming a part of the creation of challenging new work by today’s emerging artists. Art in General supports some of the most innovative, creative and cutting edge artists practicing today and offers them the opportunity to create new work that they would be unable to realize on their own by giving them financial, technical, and logistical support as well as a venue for presentation.

Commissioners’ Circle
The Commissioner’s Circle is a special group of supporters that directly support Art in General’s New Commissions Program by contributing annually to a commissioning fund that underwrites the costs of commissions for the season. A modern form of patronage, the fund allows emerging artists the opportunity to create and present new work that contributes to the development of their artistic practice. The Insiders
Art in General’s Insiders members are an integral part of the organization and while providing support tothe organization’s exhibitions and programs, are also given ‘inside’ access to members-only artists’ talks, dinners with artists, studio visits, curator-led exhibition tours, among other exciting events.

Art in General Insiders Members receive:
• Invitations to members-only events with Art in General’s exhibiting artists including artist talks, studio visits and performances
• Complimentary publications released during the membership year featuring projects by exhibiting artists
• Invitations to select previews of exhibitions led by Art in General’s curator
• Invitations to dinners with Art in General’s Resident Artists
• Private collection tour
• Discounts on gallery space rental (subject to availability)
• Acknowledgment on Art in General’s website and newsletter
