The Temptation of Eve transforms the window into a terrarium by displaying sculptural metallic and glass serpents in a natural surrounding of branches, rocks, and leaves. The artist, Jane Kaufman, has noted, “It is about transforming something that most people in our culture find repugnant and frightening into something seductive and beautiful. This series is about the knowledge that all things are equal in creation, and that those things that might be experienced as poison can be eaten, ingested, integrated, and transmuted if one has the proper consciousness.”
