Created by local Chinatown resident and artist, Gilda Pervin, Slice utilizes found objects, building materials, furniture and cement to construct a simulation of a bedroom. Displayed in the window of the gallery, the normally private space is made public through the display of intimate objects. As Pervin states, “…as in my sculpture studio, the installation represents a tableau as though filtered through memory or dreams.”
