My Little Gunsmith Shop in NYC is a result of Sylvie Réno’s research into the history of arms factories and gunsmith shops in the United States and New York. The installation features cardboard weapons created by Réno that are meticulous in detail. My Little Gunsmith Shop in NYC forces us to consider the relationships between hunting, war, self-defense, violence and the advertising and ownership of weapons.
