Mara Zoltners has transformed the gallery into a terminus for a multi-point installation involving real-time Internet transmission of the mid-western landscape from a Web site at the University of Minnesota to Art in General. Throughout her residency, Zoltners will videotape viewers’ interpretations of the landscape, recording interviews from the surrounding Chinatown community. This information will be integrated with the transmission at the conclusion of Zoltners’ residence to create Landscapes of Utterance, an installation addressing the subjective realities and ambiguities of perception and representation.
