Private Worlds presents figurative painting that reflects personal narratives. Themes such as identity, sexuality, family relationships and social nature are investigated in this group of twenty paintings, which range from acrylic on canvas, gouache on paper, oil on linen, and oil on wood. Curated by painters Joan Semmel and Arnold Mesches, the works in the show range in style from that of the Old Masters, to surrealism, photo-realism, illustration and layered collages.
