Art in General will take members on a studio tour of artist collaborative of John Furgason and Carlos Little in conjunction with their exhibition opening at Art in General. Furgason and Little have been collaborating since the mid-1990s, when they met at Cooper Union—one studied art, the other architecture. Their collaborative artistic practice has been largely influenced by the circus processional of the 19th century, and by the architectural history of Lower Manhattan. While their work has had minimal exposure through exhibitions, their studio visits—often taking place during off-hours in buildings where construction is in progress—are staged as performances, involving specific displays of materials, artworks and individuals acting out specific roles.

This program is not open to the general public. For more information, please contact the membership office by writing to kara@artingeneral.org.
