Wine Tasting at the Meat Market

Melissa Martin’s chewing-gum sculpture Father provokes transgression of familiar culinary boundaries. Tonight, the guest sommelier offers a bite of strawberry Hubba Bubba gum, among other flavors, to allow wine tasters to distinguish the fruity notes in an Australian chardonnay. A subtle rosé will cleanse the palate between a stick of Wrigley’s spearmint and the cinnamon explosion of Big Red. Join artist Melissa Martin for an evening of art and wine in the gallery’s meat market.

This is a Tribeca Second Wednesday Nights program, when Art in General and other Tribeca galleries stay open late for the public.
