The Wrong Way to Floyd Bennett Field
Public Program
Oct 7, 2006
2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
A program at Floyd Bennett Field, in New York City, to welcome eteam’s returning flight from a historic and fully operational though dormant airfield in Brooklyn—and now a Gateway National Recreation Area. Learn the history of New York’s first airport and share in the activity of flight. Join in a guided tour by Linc Hallowell, a historian and park ranger of the National Park Service, who will introduce you to the airfield’s peek moments, its decline, and the process of renovation that is currently underway. Play a role in an eteam film, be the passenger, the pilot, the engine, or the fuselage, of a plane as it exits from the gates of historic Hanger B.
