Held in conjunction to the exhibition with Holly Block, executive director, Art in General, NY, and curator of todo clandestino, todo popular; Barbaro Martinez-Ruiz, assistant professor of art and art history, Stanford University, CA, and specialist in African Art and Afro-Caribbean religions; and, Ariel Fernández Díaz, Cuban journalist and record producer widely known for his significant promotion of Cuba hip-hop in Cuba, the US, and abroad, this program is co-organized by Art in General, and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies of New York University (NYU), the Dean of Humanities Office of NYU, the Program of Museum Studies at NYUand cam!, the Contemporary Art of the Americas group of NYU. It is part of the Cuban Arts Festival, May 2005, organized by the Cuban Artists Fund in partnership with El Instituto Cervantes.
